The Nathan Quickstart combines the performance of a running vest with a minimalist, ultra-light backpack. The 6 liter capacity means you’ll have plenty of room for all your essentials like snacks, raincoats and essentials, but the vest’s lightweight, breathable construction won’t make you feel heavy or chafed when your skin moves. during the day.
One of my favorite aspects of the Quickstart 2.0 is its versatile comfort. After a few runs with the Quickstart 2.0, I got used to the sound and feel of water splashing in my bladder, but it was a little annoying at first. Removing excess air from the bladder helps calm it down, but I have never had complete sedation. PRO TIP: Playing music through your wireless headphones of choice completely (under certain circumstances) solves this problem.
While I think the custom fit of the Nathan Quickstart 2.0 is a big selling point of this bag, all those straps take a while to get set up. The bag uses a total of six straps, two on each side of the body and two on the sternum. It takes a lot of tightening and adjustment to ensure a secure and comfortable fit, and if you’re skinny like me, it will take some time to tuck in and tuck away any excess straps.

If you plan to run for more than two hours, you should plan on using an extra water bottle pocket or plan an extra seat on the route ahead of time.
First you need to fill your hydration bladders, because trying to get them out of an already packed bag is always tedious. After that, place the items you’re not likely to use (first aid kits, raincoats, etc.) on the bottom, and the quick/frequently used items (like snacks and drink mixes) on top.
All things considered, I’m a Nathan Quickstart 2.o 6L fan and if you’re interested in trying out the running hydration pack, this is a great option. The 6 liter capacity is great for long runs when you need it, but the elastic compression system on the back keeps everything snug and secure when you don’t need it.
